HOW WE HANDLE THIS

Open the Details Behind Our Data and Security Practices

From the moment you create an account on 0sho to the day you choose to close it, your data moves through defined processes.

Data Collection Scope

We collect your name, contact details, payment identifiers (such as your UPI VPA or Paytm-registered mobile number) and session logs. Nothing beyond what is needed to operate your account and comply with applicable Indian financial regulations.

Cookie Use

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand which lobby sections you visit most. You can manage cookie preferences from your browser settings at any time without losing your account access.

Account Security

Passwords are hashed using industry-standard encryption before storage. We never log your plain-text credentials. Two-step verification is available and strongly encouraged for all accounts that process real-money transactions via UPI or PhonePe.

Data Retention

Transaction records tied to Paytm, UPI or PhonePe deposits and withdrawals are kept for the period required under Indian financial regulations — typically seven years. Non-transactional data such as browsing history is purged after 90 days of account inactivity.

Your Right to Access and Erasure

You may request a full export of the personal data we hold on your account at any time. Where local law allows, you may also request deletion. We process both requests through our legal support email and respond within 30 days.

Policy Change Notification

When we update any policy document — terms of use, privacy policy or cookie policy — we send a notice to the email on your account at least seven days before the change takes effect. You may close your account if you do not accept revised terms.

Switch Through Common Legal Questions

These are the questions we receive most often about how our legal framework applies to your account in India. Each answer is drawn directly from our current policy documents — not paraphrased summaries.

Your account is subject to applicable Indian law in your state or territory. Where local law permits access, our terms of use and privacy policy apply alongside local legislation. In any conflict between our terms and Indian law, Indian law takes precedence in your jurisdiction.

Email our legal support address from the email registered to your account and request a data export. We will compile your account data — personal details, transaction history and session logs — and deliver it within 30 days of receiving your verified request.

Yes, where local law permits erasure. Some records — particularly those tied to financial transactions processed via UPI, Paytm or PhonePe — must be retained for the period required under Indian financial regulations. We will confirm exactly what can and cannot be deleted when you make your request.

We store payment identifiers such as your UPI Virtual Payment Address or Paytm-registered mobile number in encrypted form. We do not store full bank account numbers or card details on our servers. Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant third-party processors.

We use session cookies for login continuity, preference cookies for language and region settings, and analytics cookies for internal reporting. You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies does not affect your ability to access your account.

We send an email to the address on your account at least seven days before any material policy change takes effect. The updated document is also posted in the Help Centre. If you disagree with the revised terms, you may close your account before the change date with no penalty.

Contact us first via our legal support email so we can investigate and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the appropriate data protection authority in your Indian state or territory, as permitted under applicable local law.
