DATA HANDLING PRACTICES

Switch to Knowing How We Protect Your Account

Security and transparency are not afterthoughts at 0sho — they are built into how the account system works from the moment you register.

Cookies and Tracking

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand which pages load slowly. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings at any time without losing your account access.

Account Security

Your password is hashed using industry-standard cryptography — we cannot read it. Two-step login verification is available and strongly encouraged, particularly if your account is linked to a UPI or Paytm wallet.

Data Retention

We keep account records for as long as your account is active and for a defined period after closure, as required by applicable law. After that period, personal identifiers are deleted or anonymised in our database.

Third-Party Access

Payment processors such as the UPI network and Paytm receive only the minimum data needed to complete a transaction. We do not share browsing history, game session data, or chat logs with external parties.

Requesting Changes

You may request correction of any inaccurate personal detail via the Help Centre form. Name and date-of-birth corrections require a short identity check, after which the update is applied within two business days.

Erasure Requests

You can ask us to delete your account data at any time by contacting our privacy email. Once verified, we erase your personal identifiers within 30 days, except records we are legally required to retain.

Open Answers to Common Privacy Questions

The questions below cover the situations Indian account holders ask about most when it comes to their personal data, account security, and the rights they hold under this privacy policy. If your question is not listed here, our live chat team can walk you through anything specific to your account.

We collect your name, email address, date of birth, and any payment identifier you link to your account — such as your UPI handle or Paytm mobile number. We collect only what is necessary to operate your account and process transactions.

We share data only with payment processors — UPI, Paytm, PhonePe — and only the minimum fields required to complete a transaction. We do not sell your data to advertisers or share it with unrelated third parties under any circumstances.

Submit a data-access request via the Help Centre form or our privacy email. Include your registered email address and account number. We will send a copy of your data within five business days of verifying your identity.

Yes. Contact our privacy team by email or live chat and specify that you want erasure. After an identity check, we delete your personal identifiers within 30 days, retaining only records that applicable law requires us to keep.

We retain account records for the legally required period after closure, which varies depending on the type of data and applicable regulation. Once that period lapses, personal identifiers are either deleted or anonymised in our systems.

We store only masked payment references and transaction IDs — never your full UPI PIN or Paytm password. All stored payment data is encrypted, and access is restricted to authorised personnel involved in transaction processing or dispute resolution.

Contact our privacy team immediately via live chat or the privacy email. Provide your account number and a description of the concern. We will investigate within 48 hours and keep you updated on every step we take to resolve the issue.
